First Time Visiting New Orleans?

If attending Fantasy on the Bayou this year will be your first time visiting New Orleans and you're not certain what things to do while you're there... then why not check out the New Orleans Convention & Visitor Bureau's and the New Orleans Online website. Both sites are a great resource to find things to do, events, attractions, shopping venues, and restaurants.

You can even order a visitors guide that includes coupons for things from Haunted History Tours, cooking class demonstrations at the New Orleans School of Cooking, to enjoying a cafe' au lait at Cafe Beignet!

Don't forget to register for the conference and hotel before February 9th and take a trip to one the tastiest towns in the South!

Hope to see you there!

    1. LOL--You had the same reaction that I did when I saw it!

Check out this Vampire tour that they have over at the Haunted History Tours (http://www.hauntedhistorytours.com/Vampire.htm). I'm thinking we should round up a bunch of conference peeps and have some fun on a Friday evening... what do you think?

Anyone up for putting together a group of peeps to do a Vampire tour in New Orleans?

    1. Sweet! I say we make a date for it on Friday night (Mar 2). I'll get with Dawn (Conference Chair Goddess Extraordinaire) about chatting up the tour company to see what we can work out.

      This is so exciting!

  4. I would like to be in on the vampire tour too! I've done a few before and they are so fun! Should we exchange emails? I've also done the cooking class and will be doing again this time too if anyone wants to do that as well.

  5. I have friends who have taken a vampire tour in New Orleans and loved it. So, yeah, I'm interested. But I'll have my husband with me. Would he be able to come, too?

  6. Staci,

I've already contacted the vampire tour guide peeps, and we have an FF&P volunteer, Debbie Dolme' who will help set it up for us.

We will need paypal acct etc, so people who want to go will pay in advance to reserve their spot, etc. Yes, lets set up a place where we can add a list of names of who want to sign up.

Stay tuned everyone. We will let you know where to go to sign up.

  7. I used to live in Baton Rouge and made many trips to NOLA but never did one of the vampire or graveyard tours. I've heard both are fantastic. My guess is, if they're doing a vampire tour they'll take you through a graveyard. I'm interested.

  8. These is awesome! I'm so glad folks are excited to join in for a Vamp tour! I just posted a new post that basically says nothing other than... I'll post updates as I get more info, but we are actively working on coordinating the tour.

    So until then... stay tuned!
    Thanks,
    Staci
